Aly & CJ | Mauve and Dusty Purple Lakefront Wedding in Lake Tahoe
Featured on Style Me Pretty.
Aly and CJ's summer Lake Tahoe wedding was filled with pretty mauve and dusty purple tones, stunning and lush florals, and a sailcloth tent with hanging lanterns, pitched under a redwood tree grove. When looking for a waterfront venue in Lake Tahoe, Gatekeeper's Museum was the perfect spot.
Aly's lush bouquet had mauve roses, small white garden roses, delicate white poppies, a variety of greenery, and several textured elements in the same mauve tones. Her dress was a fit and flare with a sheer crochet lace overlay.
Their ceremony took place on the lakeshore underneath redwood trees. The decor included large concrete planters in a variety of shapes and sizes filled with florals. At the cocktail hour, in lieu of escort cards, the guests' names were hand calligraphed onto pink Himalayan salt shot glasses. As each guest found their shot glass, they were poured a shot of tequila!
The reception was held under a sailcloth tent and was arranged with a mix of long and round tables. Above the dancefloor were several large lanterns, some of which were made from nest-like branches and shaped into wooden hives. The lanterns were draped with greenery which tied the space into the forest around it. The centerpieces featured soft-hued florals with bright, bold accents.
