Brooke & James | Private Estate Wedding in Sonoma
Published on Martha Stewart Weddings.
When Brooke and James began planning their wedding in Atlanta, they quickly realized that they wanted to celebrate their marriage with only those closest to them - their immediate family. They wanted to take their guests somewhere special, so they picked a private estate hidden in the mountains, all the way across the country in California, where they could have all 10 of their guests stay with them.
The ceremony and reception design focused on mimicking the natural surroundings - both blended in seamlessly with the natural elements of the property. Along with their planner, Hilary of Hilary Marie events, Brooke and James chose earth tones for the ceremony florals, with just 4 benches for seating. The reception table featured a runner of florals and greenery that was "growing" out of a bed of moss. The design was set under a canopy of lights that mirrored the stars overhead.
The female guests wore earthy shades of pink in different styles and textures. The bride's uncle sang their First Dance song and then serenaded the couple with a song he wrote for them leading up to the wedding. Scroll down to see more from this beautiful, intimate wedding!
